This rig carries 3 Def-Tec # 25 or UPCO distraction devices attached to a leg shroud with a vertically adjustable hanger strap to suspend the pouches below the belt line and an adjustable 2" leg strap to secure the assembly to the upper thigh.
The pouches are constructed from 2 layers of 1000 denier cordura nylon and feature both velcro and side release buckle closures for maximum versatility and pouch security. Each pouch is supplied with a removable velcro silencer pad for quiet side release buckle operation. The flaps are constructed from 2 layers of nylon webbing for just the right degree of stiffness and to resist wear through points. All stitches are made with heavy duty mil-spec #69 nylon thread and are double stitched in low stress points and quadruple stitched at all high stress points.
The vertical hanger strap is constructed from stiff heavy duty 2" scuba webbing with velcro adjustment pads allowing approximately 6" of additional drop adjustment. This rig, as well as all of our other tactical thigh rigs, features a heavy duty 2" side release buckle attached to the vertical hanger strap which allows for rapid removal of the rig. This allows users to efficiently switch loadouts without even having to remove their belt.
The fully adjustable single leg strap is made with comfortable, yet durable, 2" nylon webbing with a heavy duty side release buckle closure and a heavy duty elastic loop to allow expansion of the thigh strap during movement. Only 1 strap is used on our tactical thigh rigs as it's been our experience, as well as many others, that the lower a thigh rig is worn on the leg the less stable it becomes during movement. Many competing designs, utilizing two leg straps, require the rigs to be worn so low that they're very inefficient during movement. Our designs, featuring 1 leg strap, place the rig low enough below the belt to clear armor, LBE, rappelling gear, etc. but ride high enough to be very stable and comfortable.
